TLC Programs

The Best of Friends® (BoF) is a social and emotional learning program that empowers children aged 7 to 11 with the knowledge, skills and confidence to understand and manage emotions and social situations. This is the 10-week term program version of The Best of Friends®.

The Secret Agent Society (SAS) is an espionage-themed program with resources that provide an evidence-based, comprehensive and captivating approach to structured social and emotional learning for children aged 8-12 years old.

The Tech Talkers® Parent/Carer Training is a group training program designed for parents and carers of children and adults who use augmentative and alternative forms of communication (AAC), using devices such as iPads or PODD books. The training will build communication partner skills to make the most of the device and help their loved one thrive.

The SibWorks group program is a peer support program for children aged 8-12, who have a brother or sister with disability. Created by Siblings Australia founder, Kate Strohm, in conjunction with psychologist, Monique Nesa, the program is designed to support siblings by building their emotional wellbeing and resilience, and connecting with others who share the same experience.

Education about sex and sexuality is important for everyone. Neurodiverse young people and people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities have the same range of sexual thoughts, attitudes, feelings and desires as neurotypical young people and those without disabilities. The People First Program is a 10-week comprehensive sexuality education program designed to help young people stay safe, reduce their risk of STIs and help prevent unplanned pregnancy while developing their confidence and sense of self. It is essential that parents and carers are involved throughout the program.
