What is Telehealth?
Telehealth provides an opportunity for clients to interact with their therapist and access health care services within the comfort of their home during this period of social distancing.
Telehealth involves the use of telecommunications and technology to deliver health services remotely. This could involve the use of video-conferencing technology, phone calls or email.
Why Telehealth?
Telehealth has been made available to help reduce the risk of community transmission of COVID-19 and provide protection for clients and health care professionals. It also allows clients to access health services remotely for a range of other reasons.
How do I pay for Telehealth?
NDIS funded families can use their current plan to pay for Telehealth.
Privately paying families can pay over the phone with a credit card.
Families with a Chronic Disease Management Plan (from your GP) can be bulked billed under certain circumstances.
